It has been more than two years since One Dub Connection released their first album “Sound Is Religion”. Alex and Marvin are keeping it busy in the studio at the moment. The duo are exited about the new work they have done over the past few years. If you can’t wait until the album is finished ODC has put together a preview for you to listen to. Diversifiedmusic hopes to release the upcomming album this year in May. So stay tuned for more One Dub Connection!

Now we got some great news: We almost have reached the finishing line for the next album release. Be aware: its not just a new album, but also we have signed a new artist on Diversified Music. Listen up for People in the Audience!!

People in the Audience consists of the two guys that are calling themselves Acid Kalle & Sno. They met in the mid 2000 but did not team until 2010 up to produce dope beats together. Both have an addiction for vintage drum machines and crate digging.

As you can guess from the picture above the sound of People in the Audience is influenced by Jazz from the late 60´s, Funk and Soul from the 70´s, Hip Hop from the 90´s and Drum and Bass from this millennium and can be best described as sample based instrumental Hip Hop. People in the Audience do nice choppy things with their fleet of MPC 2000, xL, 2500 and 3000, two turntables and one Ecler 360. That doesn’t mean that they are not using a synth from time to time, but sampling vinyl still provides the best feeling for the warm and cracking sound People in the Audience wishes to provide. Nowadays everybody has moved to produce clean and sterile beats with their MacBooks, whereas People in the Audience has remained to show their love for raw beats with that special soul and jazzy touch. People in the Audience keeps shit dope, period.

DIVMUSIC007 will be released as digital download but there will be 50 copies of CDs made personally by People In The Audience for those guys who love to have something in their hands, rather than on their ipod. These CDs will be earlier available than the digital download. We love that idea. So all you downloaders have to be patient. As a bonus the CD will also come with a nice sticker of a regular party People in the Audience´s DJ and producer Acid Kalle is spinning his vinyls at.

The artwork has been done by Oliver Sandfort and is great with some fresh arrows and graff stylez. The release date for digital download has not been confirmed yet. But we are sure, that i will happen within the next two weeks or month.
